General Description

Sewerage Catchment:

  • Long Nose Point (Tomakin) outfall is the discharge point for the Tomakin STP, which services the townships of Tomakin, Mossy Point and Broulee.

Sewage Treatment:  

  • Tomakin STP is an activated sludge plant (continuous extended aeration) with tertiary ponds.

Outfall:

  • The ocean outfall is located at Long Nose Point, several hundred meters east of Barlings Beach. Pipe diameter at the outlet is 0.24m. The outlet is located 3.17m below water level and 1.8m off the bottom.
